Breastfeeding is such a special time between mom and baby. I was so excited when Tiffany asked me to capture these for her since she was about to wean her son. Tiffany is a fellow photographer here in Phoenix and we met through one of the Facebook groups. We chatted back and forth and we both felt like we had similar styles and someone how we brought up breastfeeding photos and mommy and me pictures. Being a mom and a photographer we are barely ever in front of the lens, so it made sense to trade work for something we’ve been wanting to do.
I loved getting to capture these images for her before she weaned her son that next week. She is beautiful inside and out and a amazing photographer too.
“I started out saying I was going to breastfeed my first born for 6 months until I had go back to work but little did I know it would last for 3.5 years, when I weaned my 2nd at 22 months. I loved everything about breastfeeding from the nourishment to the love and bond that it created between me and my kids. It was one of the best things I was able to provide as a mother for my children. Breastfeeding shouldn’t be a big deal but the norm and every mother and child should be able to nurse as long as they want.
This session meant a lot to me. Knowing that my son was going to be my last child, I wanted to have images captured of me breastfeeding my baby. Something to have that will remind me and I can cherish these memories in future.” Tiffany
I hope this post doesn’t cause any controversy. Please just leave this mama love. If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all.
